Key Advantages

Why Choose This Product

Designed for shop-floor, warehouse and retail environments, balancing print quality, system integration and long-term cost.

No ribbon|labels are the only consumable Three-proof surface|water, oil and scratch resistant 14 sizes|standard stock, no die-cutting wait Full rolls|1800 labels at 30x20mm

Overview

Direct thermal labels develop the image from the print head itself, so no ribbon is needed and the only consumable is the label. The facestock is treated to resist water, oil and scratching: wipe it dry or drag a fingernail across it and the print stays legible. That makes it a fit for labels that see friction and grease every day.

Sizes and labels per roll

Fourteen standard sizes from 30x20mm to 100x150mm, 40mm core, 2mm gap between labels, R2mm corner radius, no perforation. Counts scale with size: 1800 per roll at 30x20mm, 800 at 40x30mm and 50x30mm, 1000 at 70x50mm and 80x50mm, 600 at 100x80mm, 500 at 100x100mm, 325 at 100x150mm. Counts are calculated from roll diameter and facestock thickness, +/-5 labels per roll.

Where it works

Cold drink cups are the classic case: condensation beads on the outside, plain thermal paper smears, and the three-proof surface can be wiped and scanned again. Retail price tags need fast replacement, so pair them with removable adhesive. Warehouse carton and location labels need to run continuously without sticking to the print head.

Two things to watch

Direct thermal dislikes heat and solvents. Storage above 60C, wiping with alcohol, or contact with plasticiser-containing PVC will all fade the print faster. For labels that must stay readable beyond a year, switch to coated paper with a mixed-base thermal transfer ribbon.

FAQ

How long does the print last?|Typically about a year in a dark, room-temperature store. Alcohol, plasticisers or sustained heat above 60C will fade it much faster. Will it fit my printer?|Sizes up to 100mm wide suit mainstream direct thermal barcode printers, 40mm core, outside wound. Check your maximum print width and media compartment first. Why does the print smear after unwrapping?|The thermal layer reacts to water and oil. Condensation from cold transport can be wiped dry and scanned again, but never clean it with alcohol. Can you print and die-cut to order?|Yes. Overprinting, logos and serial numbers are available, and custom die shapes are quoted against the artwork and plate cost.
